Terms & Conditions – Please read carefully
Pricing
Prices are based on double occupancy unless otherwise stated, in Canadian dollars as of July 1, 2024. Prices are subject to a Currency Surcharge if there is a significant fluctuation in the value of the Canadian dollar and/or transportation, accommodation or inclusion pricing. Rates apply as per standard terms and conditions with suppliers for single, triple and quad bookings. Cruise prices include port charges, taxes and government fees. Cruise and airline prices are subject to fuel supplement charges as imposed by the suppliers and are payable at time of final payment. No price increases are permitted after the client has paid in full. If the price increase is more than 7% except increases resulting from an increase in retail sales tax or HST cumulative increase, the client has the right to cancel the contract and obtain a full refund.
Booking Terms & Cancellation Penalty
A $300 non refundable deposit on all tours unless otherwise stated in our brochure is due at the time of booking. All day tours require full payment at time of booking, which is non refundable. All escorted tours are
non-transferable and no name changes are allowed.
Coach Tours Cancellation Penalty:
Time of booking to final payment date – Forfeit of deposit
Final payment date to departure date – Forfeit 100% of tour cost
Escorted Cruise Tour Packages Cancellation Penalty: Deposit to cruise line is refundable up until the time of final payment, after final payment cruise line penalties apply. Should you cancel prior to final payment Beyond Borders Travel & Tours will levy a $300 per person cancellation fee.
In order to guarantee an escorted tour departure, a minimum of 24 passengers is required. If an escorted tour does not meet the minimum number of 24 passengers, Beyond Borders Travel & Tours reserves the right to cancel the escorted tour. Should Beyond Borders Travel & Tours need to cancel an escorted tour (due to insufficient numbers), we will refund your deposit, as well as the cost of any travel insurance that you purchased from us. If you have purchased alternate travel insurance we are unable to refund the cost of your insurance. All supplier’s terms and conditions are applicable as per brochures including refund and cancellation policies.
Insurance
Trip cancellation insurance is optional but highly recommended. Trip cancellation insurance costs are based on the cost of your trip, the duration of your trip and your age. Out of country emergency medical insurance is always recommended in order to travel with the peace of mind of knowing that you are covered should any medical issues arise while travelling outside of Canada. Please call our office for a quote on insurance. Insurance purchases are 100% non-refundable.
Required Travel Documentation
It is the responsibility of the passenger to obtain proper documentation necessary for entry into the destination, stop-over points and re-entry into Canada prior to departure. On all Beyond Borders Travel & Tours departures into the US you require a valid passport for the duration of the tour dates. Passports valid for 6 months beyond the return date of travel are required for air and cruise travel outside of Canada. Beyond Borders Travel & Tours strongly urges those choosing to travel into the US with a Nexus card only to also travel with a valid passport.
Entry into another country may be refused even if the required travel documents and information are complete.
It is also the responsibility of the passenger to obtain required entry visa and medical immunization, vaccination, etc. Beyond Borders Travel is not responsible for individuals denied entry by border officials and port authority. Non-Canadian citizens may also need a visa for some destinations. Living standards and practices at the destination and standards and conditions there with respect to the provision of utilities, services and accommodation may
differ from those found in Canada.
Special Needs Travellers
Physically challenged passengers are welcome on our escorted tours as we make every effort to accommodate the needs of all of our passengers. Those requiring special assistance must be accompanied by a physically able companion to assist with their individual needs as we are not able to provide one-on-one assistance. Most itineraries require good mobility to enjoy all aspects of the tour and therefore some itineraries are better suited than others for passengers with mobility issues. Not all sightseeing stops accommodate wheelchairs and some locations and sightseeing activities require extensive walking and stairs and may include walking on unpaved or cobblestone streets. You are required to advise us of any mobility issues, medical issues or limitations you have at the time of booking.
Not Included In Any of Our Tours
Mandatory gratuities onboard ship, baggage and seat selection fees imposed by airlines, additional shore excursions, day trip and tour guide tipping, coach driver, escort and tipping for individual special services you receive are not included in any of our tours.
Weather Related Delays
We will make every effort to put alternate arrangements in place if a Beyond Borders Travel Tour needs to be rerouted due to an unforeseen weather-related/climate change event occurring. We reserve the right to alter and/or change the itinerary and/or destination as needed. We cannot guarantee that additional costs will not occur to you the passenger should an alternate itinerary need to be put in place in the event of the tour being rerouted, extended, or altered from the original itinerary planned.
General Terms
Beyond Borders Travel & Tours intends to operate all of our escorted tours as described in our printed
material. Due to logistics, convenience, comfort and safety of all passengers, we reserve the right to make changes when necessary to an itinerary. Standard terms and conditions apply when applicable as per supplier brochures. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the brochure at time of printing. Beyond Borders Travel & Tours cannot be held responsible for printing or typographical errors.
